This item has saved many a hike through scorching temperatures and inclement weather. Great product. Will never hit the trail without it.

The Umbrella Holster allows you to keep your hands free while protecting yourself from the rain and sun with an ultralight umbrella. It easily attaches to the daisy chain on most backpack's straps. In calm weather you can keep both hands on your trekking poles, while in strong wind or driving rain you can rest one hand on the umbrella to control the angle.

The Umbrella Holster consists of a clip and an adjustable shock cord loop that attaches to your shoulder strap.

Attach the buckle above the sternum strap on your strap's daisy chain and then attach the shock cord loop at the bottom of the daisy chain.

Insert your umbrella into the clip and then cinch the shock cord tight around the umbrella’s handle.

Perfect for use with our Lotus UL Umbrella.

Small and lightweight. Looks like it will work as advertised

Disappointed

I really wanted this to work. Used on an arc blast Zpacks backpack. Kept falling off. Read instructions, watched videos, closely inspected pictures. Tried everything to get it to stay on. Then I tried a keeper cord of 1.5mm cord which kept me from repeatedly losing it on the ground but it still kept falling off the strap. After weeks on the trail with intermittent rain I finally wrapped it with duct tape, which eventually worked loose. While the tape held, the umbrella then began popping off the “holster”! I think you could wrap this thing down with a lot of 1-2mm keeper cord. Another thing you could do is drill a hole in it and fasten it to the strap with a bolt and locknut, or even a rivet. But honestly you could design something better in your sleep, and it’s clearly overpriced. Must cost about .02 cents to make. I like a lot of Zpack products, but this thing is Very frustrating to use.

Backpacking umbrella

Love it!! Super light weight and easy to squeeze into my pack. I’ve only used it once (so far) and it was for sun not rain and it was amazing!! My dog and I both enjoyed having a shady (and somewhat cooler) spot to rest and it was also handy on the trail on our recent backpacking trip. I’ll definitely bring it in the future and I’ll feel less silly about carrying my own shade since the benefits totally make however strange I might look to others worth it. 😂🤷‍♀️
