Roll Top Closure Straps
Simple and great to use and helps compact smaller loads.
– Christopher C., ★★★★★
Our detachable Roll Top Closure Straps let you cinch the roll top down to the sides of the backpack, rather than simply clipping it together. If you add these, you still have the ability to secure the top of the pack the normal way by clipping the top to itself.

Buy the roll top straps.
Very glad I added the roll top straps on my 50L Pack used for walking 275 miles on the Camino de Santiago. Great pack overall, so glad I made the purchase. The web on the back can be tight and I was able to use the standard center closure strap to easily hold a vest or rain jacket without opening the pack. Strongly recommend Zpack and the addition of the roll top closure straps.

Will always choose zpacks
Z packs was looking for a review of the roll top closure straps, but I purchased it at the same time as I picked up my women’s Arc Haul —so wanted to review them both! I borrowed a zpacks pack last year from a friend for a thru hike— and didn’t want to return it!! This year, when I scheduled and planned my thru hike of The Vermont long trail—I knew I had to go with zpacks. The pack was super comfortable, easy to adjust and light as a feather! Arc is a great feature—particularly with the sweaty/humid days on trail this year!! It also seemed to be a little more water resistant than the model I borrowed last year( and it got tested A LOT—-Vermont is super WET. I LOVE the limited edition blue/green color—it made it super easy to spot my pack at camp!! Only downside to the pack is that I didn’t buy the water bottle sleeve and hip belt pockets —just not in the budget this year with a few upgrades to gear. They will be first on my list next year—as there is just no way to put my bottle back in the side pocket without removing the pack (or finding friends!!) this year I used a cheap ***** pack—but looking forward to buying the hip belt upgrades!! (Always good to have snacks closer!! So glad I got the roll top strap—it really compressed the pack well. Would definitely recommend this pack to anyone—-and make sure you buy the accessories!!! (Need to get a “v” strap for bear vault as well)!! Customer service has been wonderful in the limited time I have needed to contact—the quality of the pack is so good—- I don’t forsee many issues!

weeping willow
I use small backpack of zpacks. This strap is for extra storage in case.By the way I love this strap’s beauty of narrowness, it’s like a weeping willow in western Japan.

Just buy them
Makes a great top handle for your pack. You can grab the roll top for a handle. Gives your pack a tight and clean look.

This full size roll top dry bag protects the entire internal contents of your backpack. This is a good option if you prefer to use non-waterproof stuff sacks instead of individual dry bags. It is also nice as an extra layer in very wet environments. Multiple sizes are available.
This is also available in a heavier material with a handle for dual-use as a protective Airplane Case for checking your backpack on an airplane.
Pack Cover
This item is super. It is very light weight and keeps my pack dry. I am glad I purchased it with my Arc Haul 62L.

Protect your backpack from pouring rain and muddy ground with our Pack Cover. Our pack cover is an ultralight option to keep your backpack dry, including the outside pockets. It includes an elastic clip to secure it from storm winds.
Consider a Pack Liner as an alternative, if you don't mind your outer pockets getting wet.
Stick-On Key Zip Pouch
This thing was easy to attach and very lightweight. It will help me not lose track of IDs and cash in the bottom of my pack!
– Karen J., ★★★★★
Make sure you don’t lose your most important items. Attach this stick-on key zip pouch to the inside of your backpack, and your keys, wallet, passport, smartphone or other valuables will still be where you left them at the end of your hike. When you get to town the pouch detaches and fits in your pocket.
Just peel off the brown paper backing from the included flat clips and attach the pouch inside your backpack where you want it. We usually stick it towards the top of the backpack right behind the shoulder straps so that it is easy to get to. The adhesive bonds well and will also work on any urethane coated backpack material. Spare Stick on Flat Clips are available if you want to clip this pouch to a second location.
