Vertice Rain Jacket for wife
Only used once so far. Used as windbreaker, she hasn’t had it in the rain yet. Quality workmanship that we expect from Zpacks is present in this jacket.

Great rain jacket
I really like my rain jacket it is very light weight. The jacket is great for hiking. I wish it had pockets is the only thing it is missing.

Quality jacket but sizing needs to improve
It’s a nice jacket and overall is made well. The sewing isn’t the neatest in some areas, but shouldn’t affect the performance. Despite these positives, the sizing for this jacket is substantially off industry standards for an outerwear jacket, especially when considering layers that would typically be worn underneath. Example - even for the size that I received, being the largest option available that worked for my build, opening the pit zippers with a couple of layers worn underneath is a bit strained since the sizing of the upper sleeve and armhole is a bit too tight. It’s a real plus having the actual sizes of the garments on the website to navigate which size to order, but I am a 5’7” 150# male and needed to order a women’s XL because the sizing for the men’s jackets is so out of sync with what I’d typically find in any other mainstream brand of rain jacket. I’m typically a men’s medium and was able to work it out well enough with a women’s XL but at this price point, I’d expect a better reflection of garment research and sizing construction. Hopefully this can be changed for the benefit of others.

Quality products but sizing doesn’t match industry standards
I’m looking forward to using the Vertice Rain jacket, but one point that I think is worth mentioning is that the sizing of this garment (& all the measurements for the mens & womens jackets) is significantly off from industry standards as an outwear jacket. Considering the layers that one would typically wear under this jacket, the sizing seems to be geared towards models that are either atypical in body measurements or very thin in many areas. I think some more research in standards of measurements for jackets or garments in general would help make the sizing more consistent with what someone would expect when buying a Packs garment.

Great I recommend it to anyone everyone

Zpacks Ventum Wind Shell - Women's
Amazingly lightweight, easy to pack down and a must to bring EVERY time you are going to hike! It is a MUST have item while backpacking. Love that it keeps those damn mosquitoes at bay AND is breathable. Great wind layer. Why isn't this item in your shopping cart yet?
– Lori B., ★★★★★
Layering doesn’t have to be complicated. The Ventum Shell is perfect for those chilly early morning temperatures and windy alpine evenings. Specifically designed for women, this wind shell jacket is ounce for ounce the most valuable piece of clothing you can carry.
Ventum fabric strikes the right balance between cutting cold wind while still allowing enough breathability for sweat to escape when hiking on chilly mornings and evenings. Ventum fabric tests at 39.5 CFM under ASTM D-737
It cuts the breeze and traps warmth in your base layer or against your skin. This is an essential piece of gear when a base layer alone is not enough, but insulation would make you overheat.
If you don't see your size, we also have some sizes available at a discount in our Bargain Bin while supplies last.

Groundsheet Poncho - Flat
LOVED the poncho on my 500 mile section of the PCT this year... it's one of my top 5 favorite pieces of gear!!! I used it in a downpour at the northern terminus as I completed 7 years of section hiking the PCT.

Stick-On Key Zip Pouch
This thing was easy to attach and very lightweight. It will help me not lose track of IDs and cash in the bottom of my pack!
– Karen J., ★★★★★
Make sure you don’t lose your most important items. Attach this stick-on key zip pouch to the inside of your backpack, and your keys, wallet, passport, smartphone or other valuables will still be where you left them at the end of your hike. When you get to town the pouch detaches and fits in your pocket.
Just peel off the brown paper backing from the included flat clips and attach the pouch inside your backpack where you want it. We usually stick it towards the top of the backpack right behind the shoulder straps so that it is easy to get to. The adhesive bonds well and will also work on any urethane coated backpack material. Spare Stick on Flat Clips are available if you want to clip this pouch to a second location.
