1.92 oz/sqyd Vertice Waterproof Breathable Fabric

This three-layer material has a tricot lining to wick moisture away from your skin, a waterproof vapor permeable membrane in the middle, and 7 denier ripstop nylon on the exterior. The outer surface is treated with a durable "C6" water repellent. The Vertice fabric boasts an incredible breathability rating that blows away most other rain gear, including our previous generation fabrics.

Weight: 1.92 oz/sqyd (65 g/m²)

Vapor Transfer (JIS L 1099 Method B1): 56,000+ g/m^2/24hr

Water Resistance: >20,000 mmH₂O

Made in Japan.

Measure your chest using a string or cloth tape measure and go by the "Fits up to" size. The "Fits up to" size includes a few inches of wiggle room for layering. The jackets are straight cut (like Men's jackets) and do not flare out at the hips.

They are fine for women, but make sure your hips will fit the bottom hem girth, or size up.  A women's specific version is also available here.

  • Rain gear should only be washed as needed, after a few trips or if you notice that the DWR is not as effective as when new.
  • Machine wash with Grangers Wash+Repel or similar product.
  • Tumble dry or line dry.

Vertice Rain Jacket

A great jacket, super light, breathable. the latest version seems to run small so size up well worth the price, my original version lasted 6 years of considerable use.

Not Only Super But Duper Too

So far? Outstanding. Vents unwanted heat well in high output activity - thank you pit-zips. Rain in 40-degree F weather was a non-issue. The length is very nice too. Been wearing as a wind shirt over a lightweight fleece and tee & loving it. One knock however: The partially elasticized tail hem (nonadjustable) does not seem essential; it rides up to waist line - would prefer to have it hang to full length (about mid-booty). I purchased this for an upcoming thru of the PCT so will update review when I finish. I don't expect a ton of rain or snow but feel very ready when it happens. Preparation makes you lucky.

Vertice Jacket (Mens)

I had to return/exchange this jacket because the size (per the website chart) turned out to be too small). I am not over-weight, just tall (6'5"). The jacket seems a little tight in the arms - the cut could be more generous in the arms to accomodate a puffy jacket underneath for cold and wet conditions.

Ya'll are great.

You're customer service is above and beyond in terms of repair and replacing things. I worry about you guys to be honest, I had an ex who you shipped another duoplex because it had an issue, and you replaced my whole (old) jacket just because the cargo zipper was broken. I'm grateful, if not a little guilty feeling too about it all though. anyways for the (old) vertice I had in general? after 1.5 thru hikes on it my only feedback would be that there was one really heavy storm I was hiking in where I'm pretty sure the pit zips leaked. maybe a model without pit zips might be worth considering (and lighter!) that is probably the only reason I would consider getting a helium 2 at some point, though with this one getting replaced it's for sure going to go on the AT with me next year. you guys have a customer for life, keep up the great work!

Finally I found a rainjacket that keeps me dry. Not only after 1 day, but also after days of rain (west highland way).
