Great Rain Jacket

My current rain jacket weighs 13.4 oz and I needed something much lighter for long trekking. Just got the rain jacket last night and I really like the color (blue), fit, the big pocket, and the "must have" pit zips. I ran it under the faucet and seems to hold up extraordinary to the water. My only beef is that it was advertised as 5.4 oz and it weighs in at 6.1 oz for the large. Although this is clearly in an acceptable range, they should advertise the weights of each of the sizes. I would have given the rating a 5 if it matched the weight advertised. Now I need to go give it a test drive!

Very glad I made the purchase

I will admit that I was a little hesitant when I purchased the raincoat based on the price. However, after lugging around a way too heavy raincoat for too many trips I decided to take the plunge. So very glad I did! First trip out of course it rains. I was nice and dry and completely comfortable. It’s true there is no or perspiration build up inside the jacket. It’s light as a feather. The fabric feels delicate but was extremely durable. Even when I was rubbing me arms up against a tree trying to get my hammock straps up there was no abrasion on the jacket. I will say the only thing that concerns me is the bottom hem line with the elastic in the back does pull at the bottom of the zipper. I am hoping it doesn’t create any stress on the zipper overtime. However, I couldn’t see any compromise to the zipper after this trip where I wore it for 2 days straight.

Women's vertices jacket

Wonderful experience with my new Vertices jacket! This was an exchange and the whole process was painless! Looking forward to using this jacket once my newly operated foot heals...My husband absolutely loves his, which is why I ordered one for myself. The jacket fits perfectly... usually a challenge for me as I'm 5'0" tall and 95 pounds, and I was able to find a color I like. I'm pleased with the light weight of it as well. Looking forward to enjoying it on adventures for years to come.

Rain jacket

Disappointed that there's no front pocket. I probably would have ordered it anyway but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. I actually prefer my old zpacks rain jacket because I used the front pocket so much.

Expensive jacket but good

Just returned from many days on a rather wet Wonderland Trail trip around Mt Rainier. The jacket was used often. Features I liked: Longer length, pit zips, fabric light but handled the tension from pack shoulder straps, comfortable, hood worked okay (used baseball cap under it to keep it secured in place) and jacket kept me dry. Improvements: Add pockets - while no pockets helps to keep weight of jacket lower, when standing around at camp in the rain it would have been nice to have hand pockets; Zipper was a bit hard to get started at times, all looked aligned correctly, nothing caught, but at times it look several tries to get it to zip closed, once started zipper was fine.
