Zpacks Comfy Camp Pillow
When you've gone so ultralight that you are wearing all your clothing layers to bed but still want a comfortable spot to rest your head the Zpacks Comfy Camp Pillow is the solution!
This camp pillow has ultra-soft Octa® fleece against your face, and is stuffed with six layers of Climashield Apex insulation to give it resilient loft. The insulation can be removed or augmented with other gear items like a down hood and booties.
Elastic bands on the back allow you to attach it to a stuff sack, dry bag, or inflatable pillow to give your head extra lift. An adjustable shock cord band secures the pillow to your sleeping pad to keep it from sliding around.
The pillow folds and rolls to about the size of a soda can, and stays compressed with the shock cord strap to keep you packed size at a minimum.
- The top of the pillow features soft and comfortable 2.35 oz/sqyd Octa® fleece, with .51 oz/sqyd Ventum Ripstop Nylon on the bottom. The materials do not contain any harmful chemicals such as PFAS or flame retardants.
- Stuffed with 6 layers of Climashield Apex continuous filament insulation which provides comfortable, resilient cushioning while you sleep. The insulation can augmented or replaced with gear items like a down hood or down booties.
An integrated, adjustable shock cord strap attaches the pillow to your sleeping pad, preventing it from shifting throughout the night.
Two flat elastic bands on the back allow you to boost your head up by attaching the camp pillow to a stuff sack, dry bag, or even our inflatable pillow, or your sit pad. Our medium or medium-plus size bags are a good fit.
A zippered opening on the bottom side of the pillow allows you to easily add, remove, or replace the pillow's cushioning. Remove the insulation when washing the pillow case. The pillow case can be machine washed and dried.
Packs down to about the size of a soda can. Fold it in half length-wise, roll it, and secure with the shock cord strap.

Perfect addition to my pillow setup
I have tried several different pillows from inflatables to combinations of inflatables with stuff sacks and cloths. None have been perfect for me. Inflatables hurt my ears when laying on my side. Stuff sacks never hold their shape and the combination of the two have only been semi effective. There has only been one pillow that even comes close to alleviating those issues for me and it is kind of bulky, not as tall as I'd like, and comes with a 9 oz weight penalty. Enter the Zpacks Comfy Camp Pillow. I bought this with the intention of pairing it with one of my lighter inflatables to use as more of a topper and let me tell you....It is perfect!! I am able to inflate my pillow to the desired height and then strap this to the top using the two built in elastic straps adding the perfect amount of extra height and loft. The Apex insulation is super light and stays lofted enough to give me the relief I need when laying on my side. Space and weight are not an issue as the pillow packs down small or can easily just get crammed down pretty much anywhere in my pack and the total combination only weighs 5 oz. So, I'm saving almost half the weight of my previous pillow and getting a better nights rest!! I'll take it!! Thank you Zpacks for creating yet another very thoughtful and useful product.
