Zpacks Comfy Camp Pillow
When you've gone so ultralight that you are wearing all your clothing layers to bed but still want a comfortable spot to rest your head the Zpacks Comfy Camp Pillow is the solution!
This camp pillow has ultra-soft Octa® fleece against your face, and is stuffed with six layers of Climashield Apex insulation to give it resilient loft. The insulation can be removed or augmented with other gear items like a down hood and booties.
Elastic bands on the back allow you to attach it to a stuff sack, dry bag, or inflatable pillow to give your head extra lift. An adjustable shock cord band secures the pillow to your sleeping pad to keep it from sliding around.
The pillow folds and rolls to about the size of a soda can, and stays compressed with the shock cord strap to keep you packed size at a minimum.

- The top of the pillow features soft and comfortable 2.35 oz/sqyd Octa® fleece, with .51 oz/sqyd Ventum Ripstop Nylon on the bottom. The materials do not contain any harmful chemicals such as PFAS or flame retardants.
- Stuffed with 6 layers of Climashield Apex continuous filament insulation which provides comfortable, resilient cushioning while you sleep. The insulation can augmented or replaced with gear items like a down hood or down booties.
An integrated, adjustable shock cord strap attaches the pillow to your sleeping pad, preventing it from shifting throughout the night.
Two flat elastic bands on the back allow you to boost your head up by attaching the camp pillow to a stuff sack, dry bag, or even our inflatable pillow, or your sit pad. Our medium or medium-plus size bags are a good fit.
A zippered opening on the bottom side of the pillow allows you to easily add, remove, or replace the pillow's cushioning. Remove the insulation when washing the pillow case. The pillow case can be machine washed and dried.
Packs down to about the size of a soda can. Fold it in half length-wise, roll it, and secure with the shock cord strap.

Works great
I used to just fold up my fleece jacket for a pillow (zero extra weight). But it doesn't have enough "give" to ensure a comfortable sleep. So after trying various options, this is the pillow I've been looking for. It's super light while still being comfortable. I like how you can actually make it thinner, since the inner insulation comes in sheets. I took out one sheet of insulation, to make it be the thickness I prefer. I stuff it in with my sleeping bag in my sleeping bag stuff sack, and so far it's retained its shape and comfort.
I like that i can stuff this pillow to make it bigger or smaller. Its a nice fabric texture as well. I also like that it stays in place.
Sleep better, walk farther.
This model requires more space in the pack, but its comfort helps us recover for long hike.
It’s good.
I’m a side sleeper so it’s just too thin for me. Maybe I can find an air bladder that can fit under it that will raise it up a bit more.
Versatile
I liked how it’s easy to make this pillow taller or fluffier. I also like the texture and it’s very stuffable.
