Soto Windmaster Stove w/ Triflex
When a hot meal at night and hot coffee in the morning is more of a need than a want, a reliable canister stove is mandatory. The Soto Windmaster stove is the best in class for ultralight canister style stoves. The burner is recessed allowing it to light easier and continue burning in windy conditions without requiring a separate wind screen. This stove has really great efficiency which helps you heat water faster and consume fuel slower.
This stove includes a FREE ultralight "TriFlex" stand, in addition to the heavier standard "4Flex" stand.
- Watch the Gear Institute Overview Video.
- The pot sits close to the flame, and the flame is protected from the wind. This results in increased efficiency and a faster boil time.
- This stove can boil 2 cups of water in just 2.5 minutes in windy conditions. Other stoves can struggle in the wind.
- A small 100 gram (3.5 ounce) canister can boil a two-cup pot of water 15 times. A standard 230 gram (8 ounce) canister should boil 2 cups of water about 34 times.
- The stove has a regulator to easily adjust from a simmer to a jet engine boil.
- Two pot stands are included. The "Triflex" stand is the one most ultralight backpackers will use. It clips on and off the burner easily, and folds flat for storage. A "4Flex" stand is also included and can be used for more stability when heating a larger 'group-meal' pot.
- The included stuff sack weighs .3 ounces (8 grams). You can upgrade to a .1 oz (2.8 gram) Dyneema Composite Fabric Stove Stuff Sack.
- Warranty claims are handled directly by the manufacturer.
- Fits standard isobutane fuel canisters found at most local outdoor stores. Fuel canister not included.

Sure…it’s not the lightest option but it’s worth it
Decided switch out my BRS stove for the Soto Windmaster after seeing how much faster my wife’s stove boiled water in windy conditions. It works better and I’m happy to sacrifice a few grams in order to more easily warm up my food. And as always, Zpacks shipped it very quickly and had the product at a decent price with the lighter base.

Very efficient system
The Soto Windmaster Triflex paired with the Firemaple Petrel HX pot balances light weight, efficiency and ease of use at a very high level.

Soto Windmaster w/Triflex included
The Windmaster is the stove with the best weight/performance ratio out there that I've found after some fairly extensive research online. The Triflex provides plenty of stability for the pot and it stores very compactly. The weight of the stove with the Triflex is 67grams on my scale. ZPacks seems to be the only place you can get the Windmaster with the Triflex included for one low price (you also get the 4Flex in the same box as the stove if you ever wanted it- the Triflex comes in it's original retail packaging) You'll save money getting it from ZPacks if you know you want the Triflex (which you do if you want to keep the weight down). Look no further and just get it from here!

Best Stove, great weight, solid build, bonus Triflex
Absolutely the best stove on the market when not cold soaking, weight is almost the lightest, but the benefit of micro-regulator, extreme durability, bonus triflex, and economy wind guard outweighs (pun intended) the Overall weight as it is using less fuel, ultimately lightening your load in the end.

Great stove, good deal from Zpacks
My favorite new stove alternate to my alcohol ones. Boils fast and love the piezoelectric starter. I would highly recommend purchasing from Zpacks as you get the two different pot supports included compared with other sites.
Cooking & Hydration
Stove Stuff Sack
It helps keep my Soto Windmaster Stove and 4Flex Pot Support snug together with a 4oz fuel canister in a Snow Peak 700 mug with a Jetboil lid. Works even better with the smaller Soto Amicus stove. It provides a bit of protection for the stove too.

Keep your canister stove free from debris and protect your more delicate gear from sharp stove edges with this stove stuff sack. It fits a Soto Windmaster Stove perfectly, and should fit most other canister stoves as well. This stuff sack is made from black 1.0 oz/sqyd Dyneema® Composite Fabric which is a little bit thicker and more abrasion resistant than our other stuff sacks.

Keep your pot lid from rattling and protect your gear from soot. These stuff sacks are made to fit common Toaks and Evernew pots and mugs. They are flexible and will also fit other brand pots and mugs with similar volumes. They are much lighter than the stuff sacks that typically come with cooking pots, and the waterproof Dyneema® Composite Fabric prevents soot or fuel residue from contaminating your other gear.

Bear Bagging Kit
I wanted a food bag that was more flexible than a rigid bear canister that I could hang confidently and that would hold up to the elements. Hangs well, stores in backpack well, holds up well in weather and is just plain wonderful.

Large Food Bag
Held 5 days of food easily. Could hold a lot more. Compacts down to size you are carrying. Love the ease of the roll top snap closure. Is so lightweight and sturdy. A simple luxury to make things flow best on trail.
– Deborah S., ★★★★★
Our food bags are made from thicker 1.6 oz/sqyd Dyneema® Composite Fabric to stand up to the abuse of bear bagging and to resist abrasion from heavy, pointy food items. The fabric is strong enough to discourage most small rodents but should still be hung out of reach over night. The “Large” size food sack can hold about 5-6 days of food.
The rectangular shape fits well in all of our backpacks, either standing vertically or sideways depending on the pack volume. The wide opening makes it easier to dig through the bag and find what you need.
This is also available as part of a Bear Bagging Kit with cord and a rock sack.
If you don’t need as much space for shorter trips check out our 3-4 day Big Food Bag.
Flipfuel Fuel Transfer Device
FlipFuel® allows you to transfer fuel from one canister to another. Consolidate partially empty canisters into one full one for longer trips, or portion off only the fuel you need into a smaller canister for shorter trips.
An efficient stove like the Soto Windmaster only uses about 1/4 ounce (7 grams) of fuel per 2-cup boil. There is no point of carrying significantly more fuel than you need for your trip!
Weigh your canisters when you first buy them and write the full-weight on the can. Then you can calculate the weight of the canister itself and know how much fuel is remaining.
Before transferring fuel, place the receiving canister in a freezer for several minutes to shrink the contents, and place the giving canister in the sun to expand the contents.
