Flipfuel Fuel Transfer Device
FlipFuel® allows you to transfer fuel from one canister to another. Consolidate partially empty canisters into one full one for longer trips, or portion off only the fuel you need into a smaller canister for shorter trips.
An efficient stove like the Soto Windmaster only uses about 1/4 ounce (7 grams) of fuel per 2-cup boil. There is no point of carrying significantly more fuel than you need for your trip!
Weigh your canisters when you first buy them and write the full-weight on the can. Then you can calculate the weight of the canister itself and know how much fuel is remaining.
Before transferring fuel, place the receiving canister in a freezer for several minutes to shrink the contents, and place the giving canister in the sun to expand the contents.

STEP 1
Place receiving canister in the freezer, ice chest, or a cool shaded area. Place sending canister in the sun.
STEP 2
Wait 5 to 10 minutes. This allows the fuel canisters to create a temperature differential that facilitates the transfer.
STEP 3
Thread canisters onto FlipFuel® device. Sending canister on top ("OUT") side, receiving canister on bottom ("IN") side. Hand tighten.
STEP 4
Open valve to transfer fuel. Once fuel transfer is complete, close valve and detach isobutane fuel canisters.

Zpacks Gear
I have just completed my 11-12th purchase with Zpacks, and have never been disappointed. I own two tents, a sleeping bag, 2 sets rain gear, backpack, gloves, socks, 3 sets hiking poles, and 2 bear bags, numerous stuff sacks & demina dry bags and zip pouches, 2 double compartment multi-pack wallets (which I love as welll as their Travel Utility Zip and Airpirt Bag), long & short shirts, wind breakers, etc. Over the 7 years, I have never received a poor product, and this spring after 500 miles & 6 years wore out a stuff sack. Literally, I own and carry Zpacks gear and I do so for the ultralight aspect as well as quality. Like that old Johnny Cash, I got it one item at a time, 2018-2024. I love everything they sell from sewing kits, whistles, tick removers, tent stakes, rainproofing. These items are very cheap and currently their Swiss army knifes and sun cream are bargains. The pillow attachment cords are sheer gensis, and their inflatable pillow is exactly what I needed! I initially thought tents were too expensive but they are so light, and durable. We have over 75 nights in our tents and they seem almost like new. The backpacks and accessories are so durable. I have one snagged circle in the strechable webbing - thats it. You will never regret owning Zpacks products. The Customer Service is first notch. They pride themselves on ensuring that orders are complete and shipped out as stated. They answered my call and are always knowledgeable about products, or questions about gear or size recommendations; shipping is reasonable but free if you spend $100. Zpacks gear literally enables me to hike longer and farther, and nearing the age 68, I am still able to hike the Application Trail.... Zpacks is a company I trust year after year.
