Light and waterproof but could pack smaller

I love my Vertice rain pants, so I decided to get the jacket too. It's OK, but I don't love it. In spite of the fabric being "Vertice" in both cases, the jacket fabric is crinkly while the pants fabric is smooth. As a result, the jacket does not roll up into a tiny package as the pants do. Stuffing it into the chest pocket works fine, but the resulting package is somewhat large. As Zpacks says, there's room in the stuff pocket to accommodate the pants also. But I would rather have a smaller pocket that just barely fits the jacket so it is the smallest possible in my pack, and store my pants separately. Apart from that, they are very nice, with an ultralight weight, and in few uses have kept me dry.

I actually used it

I’m not a fan of rain jackets - they sit in my pack almost all the time, but I needed a new one and this had put zips so i bought it. Because February has been so cold, i’ve used it 4 days already for wind and light rain protection. Works great, it’s light, packs down well. If you’re between sizes, go with the larger size the elastic at the waist and cuffs work well to manage extra material. Great purchase.

Best Customer Service EVER!

I made a mistake and had a jacket shipped to me instead of my brother. Everyone was so helpful in helping me figure it out, even after the post office returned it because the wrong name was on it! It was so refreshing to work with a great customer service crew, something that has really been lost in today’s business world! Thank you to all who helped!

can you make a larger than xxl to fit over backpacks?

I love trying hiking gear, particularly ultralight. I've bought a lot of your gear, and several Vertice jackets and pants, and it seems whenever I hike with anyone where I use it, I wind up giving it to them and buying another. Latest giveaway was on the Camino Portugues from Porto to Santiago. Poured rain much of the time, and the two Spaniards (Catalonians) that hiked with us asked about our Vertice pants and jackets, which we were using exclusively. We also had some top-of-the-line Goretex parkas and rainpants since our luggage was being forwarded each day, so we let them try the Vertice. Before that, they were not getting wet from the outside but sweating underneath their "breathable" waterproof jackets. We were faring much better. When we let them use the Vertice, they said they were much drier, and with our Goretex parkas, we were getting wetter underneath our parks. Lately, here in wet Western Washington, I've been wearing my jacket OVER my backpack. Combined with the pants, gaiters, and spraying durable water repellent to the areas of my boots not covered, I seem to be shedding all rain, right down to the uppers of my boots. I can hike for hours in pouring rain with EVERYTHING dry, as long as I don't hike too hard so I perspire underneath, and as long as the trail is good enough to not snag anything. Vertice ARE a bit delicate. I just received an XXL jacket, and can drape it over the pack I normally use. I wonder if you would consider making an XXXL or larger to fit a larger pack? I do have your poncho, but I just don't like it, noisy and doesn't pack small in good weather. If something similar were made with the Vertice material, I would buy it in an instant, and I think other people would too! I have no interest in using it as a groundsheet, so no need to add zippers to the sides...it just needs to be big enough to drape over one of your larger backpacks on this 195 lb 6 ft 2 inch human.
