Our 1.50 oz/sqyd Vertice Waterproof Breathable Fabric boasts an incredible breathability rating that blows away most other rain gear.
Our rain pants are sized to fit over your hiking pants. You should be able to order your usual "US" pant size. The waist has adjustable shock cord which can cinch down to any minimum. If measuring using the sizing chart, measure around the thickest part of your hips/butt over your clothes.
Treated with durable, effective C6 water repellent. Made with PFAS chemicals.
Packs up tiny as shown. Roll the pants up and secure them with the waist elastic, or tuck them in your jacket's stow pocket. No stuff sack necessary.
Repair tape sticks extremely well to the inside of the material so repairs in the field are a cinch. Tape will not stick to the exterior.

- Rain gear should only be washed as needed, after a few trips, or if you notice that the DWR is not as effective as when new.
- Machine wash with Grangers Repel Plus or a similar product.

Best rain pants
These rain pants came recommended by a woman in my backpacking group. I purchased them for a trip to Scotland where my husband and I walked the West Highland Way. It rained, it hailed, it snowed. These pants kept me dry and by extension, warm. They have earned their place in my rain kit.

I have a pair of men's Vertice rain pants which I love. I bought a pair for my wife which we used on a river trip down the Grand Canyon. Some of the waterproof tape on the inside came off. Zpacks replaced them without any hassle at all. I was very impressed with their customer service.
Women’s Vertice Rain Pants for the win.
These held up great to two solid days of rain on the West Highland Way in Scotland. They pack very small too. My only complaint is they do not fit over my boots. I had to remove my boots to take off and on. I bought a women’s large.
Ultralight and waterproof, it’s exactly what I needed. It packs very small so you can have them always with you. As 2nd layer can keep you warm
Best rainpants ever
Most satisfying piece of gear I've ever bought. I never believed in rain pants until i got hypothermic on the CDT. I didn't want to carry something that got used so infrequently. But these weigh nothing, so I never hesitate to pack them. I brought them on an AZT thru-hike in February 2022 and ended up hiking in them all day long for the first week because it was so cold, and even slept in them at night. Very durable. After 3 years the crotch tape wore out and Zpacks repaired them for free. Not sure if they've changed the cut, based on the above photos, but mine have wide, straight legs that easily fit over bulky pants and you can take them on and off without removing your shoes. Can't say enough good things about these pants!
