Keep your hands warm when temperatures drop without weighing down your pack. The Zpacks Down Mittens deliver an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio for cold mornings, high-elevation camps, and nights around the campsite.

The fully reversible design lets you choose which color you prefer, while the soft, lightweight construction packs down small when not in use. Integrated snaps allow the mittens to clip together for storage, helping keep the pair organized inside your pack.

Whether you’re warming up after a long day on trail or adding extra protection on a frigid morning, the Zpacks Down Mittens are a simple, ultralight way to keep cold hands from slowing you down.

Treat these mittens like sleeping bags for your hands. They are great for around camp, sleeping, or even hiking, but it is not advised to wear them while using trekking poles due to abrasion.

Complete your down insulation system with our ultralight Down Jacket, Down Booties, and Down Hood.

Washing

Down Mitts do not need to be washed very often. Wash once after a long season or only as needed.

Be careful of machine washing down Down Mitts. The twisting motion of a washing machine could potentially tear the shell material. If you do try a washing machine do so at your own risk using the delicate setting.

We recommend hand washing your Down Mitts in a sink or bathtub with warm water and Granger's Down wash. Swish the socks around for a few minutes and rinse.

Squish the mitts and squeeze as much water as you can out of it.

For best results, lay the mitts out in the sun to dry. You may have to periodically pull apart any wet down clumps to allow them to dry completely and fluff back up like new.

High heat from a clothes dryer can melt delicate shell materials- use low or medium heat if machine drying. We recommend drying your down gear items in the sun, or line drying indoors if the weather doesn't permit sun drying.
