6.5" Red Tough Titanium Tent Stake
Perfect for those hikers who need a little more strength and durability. These stakes are a little longer and thicker than our 6” ultralight titanium tent stakes. They have a little more grip and are less susceptible to bending. These stakes are easier to press into packed or frozen ground compared to larger stakes. Since these are ultralight stakes, It is better to press them into the ground rather than hammering. Use rocks to anchor them in high wind.
They have a red head, which makes them harder to lose.

Ultralight stakes in general should never be hammered in, because they could get bent or damaged. Hold your foot in both hands for stability, and guide the stake into the ground with your body weight. If the ground is too solid to drive in stakes, anchor them with rocks instead.
Non-Freestanding tents can be pitched just about anywhere with a little creativity. If the ground is too firm, wedge the tip of your stakes in, and then anchor them with rocks. If you are camped above tree line on stone, wrap the guylines around rocks to anchor them. On beach sand use rocks, driftwood, etc as anchors for the tent guylines. On wooden tent platforms you can wedge the stakes between the boards, or use extra line to tie off to the ends of the platform. There are many ways to make it work if you use your imagination.
Very light and do the job.
After much research, I decided to purchase the Zpacks Duplex tent over competitor brands. I'm a good bit older than most hikers, and keeping my backpack weight to a minimum is crucial to a successful and enjoyable hike. This was an excellent decision! The tent arrived within a week. The product is well made, sturdy, very light weight, and so easy to set up and take down. My 8 yo grandson wanted to remain in the tent instead rather than go home. His mom was quite surprised at how light the tent was. Color the whole family impressed. Cannot wait to set out on the trail.
These are great light weight stakes with strength. Thin and pointy enough to quickly ********* hard earth and slip between cracks in rocks. They group together well so not to add bulk in the pack. Worth the price.
Awesome. Very easy to work into firm ground and dirt doesn’t stick to this stake like blade designs.
I use 8 of these and the DCF stake sack for my Six Moon Designs Lunar Solo. They are very light and relatively strong. They are a little bit concerning when inserting into tough ground (feels like they might bend), so it might be a good idea to buy 2-4 of the stronger ones for high tension points. I use 2 of these as a part of my cooking system. I insert them in my windscreen to create a pot stand. They handle the heat well and cool quickly.
