Kept me dry in a heavy downpour and they are so small I can pack them along just in case.

Master the elements with the Men’s Vertice Rain Pants. Gone are the days of getting soaked with hot, humid and unventilated rain gear. Our Vertice Rain Gear material is optimized to be lightweight without compromising on durability, and it is among the lightest possible choices for waterproof hyper-breathable rain gear.

Also available in Women's Sizes.

Be sure to check out the rest of our Vertice Rain Gear.

  • Our 1.50 oz/sqyd Vertice Waterproof Breathable Fabri boasts an incredible breathability rating that blows away most other rain gear.

  • Treated with durable, effective C6 water repellant. Made with PFAS chemicals.

  • Adjustable shock cord at the waist. The shock cord can be cinched down to any minimum.

  • Packs up tiny as shown. Roll the pants up and secure them with the waist elastic, or pack them in your jacket's stow pocket. No stuff sack necessary.

  • Repair tape sticks extremely well to the inside of the material so repairs in the field are a cinch. Tape will not stick to the exterior.

  • Combine these pants with a matching Jacket and Mitts for a super light rain suit!

  • All Zpacks gear has a two year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Please see our return / warranty policy.

light, small, waterproof

I've had these pants for 16 months. They are very light. The fabric is smooth and thin, and they roll up into a tiny bundle. I was suspicious at first of not having a stuff bag, but this is better. The bottoms are closed with snaps, which seem to do the job. Unsnapped, they are large enough to go over my largest boots, though just barely. They have always kept me completely dry in rain, though the there was a little leakage from sitting in a puddle.

Ultralight & Packable, but Lacking Durability

I found the Men's Vertice Rain Pants to be impressively ultralight and packable, performing well in the rain. However, they are somewhat thin and not particularly durable, and they don't provide complete protection when sitting on wet surfaces.

Pants great, Tapered leg not so much

Light, durable, work perfect to shed rain, but breathable. But the older version had a wide leg you could get a running shoe through. This version has a tapered leg. You have to take your shoes off to put the rain pants on. Not a fan.

Zpacks Customer Support

I actually bought the rain coat as well as the rain pants for my through hike on the John Muir Trail. The weather was perfect so your rain gear wasn’t needed though I very much appreciated how light your gear was. What I appreciated the most was your willingness to take back the gear for a full refund, with no questions asked. I will definitely think of Zpacks for my future gear. Thanks again.

Vertice rain pants

Excellent for the weight - I used these on a rainy and windy Hebridean way - highly breathable I could even travel in them in planes over shorts without sweating - need insulation under them if high wind and rain
