Stakes worked well in a lot of different ground types. Rocky or sandy or bushes always seemed to find a way to set up my tent and they held all night. Very strong too. Haven’t bent any even though I did hit a few rocks.

These are the lightest weight stakes you can get with reasonable holding power and durability. Titanium is very light and strong for its weight, but some care should be exercised to prevent bending. Thin stakes like these are easier to press into moderately firm soil compared to thicker stakes. You will want to use rocks to weigh them down in loose soil or in windy conditions.

They have an orange head, which makes them harder to lose.

Weight: .19 ounces / 5.4 grams each

Length: 6 inches / 15.2 cm

Diameter: 3 mm

Material: Ultralight Titanium

Holding Power: Low

Bend Resistance: Low

Ultralight stakes in general should never be hammered or they could get bent or damaged. Hold your foot in both hands for stability, and guide the stake into the ground with your body weight. If the ground is too solid to drive in stakes, anchor them with rocks instead.

Non-Freestanding tents can be pitched just about anywhere with a little creativity. If the ground is too firm, wedge just the tip of your stakes in, and then anchor them with rocks. If you are camped above tree line on stone, wrap the guy lines around rocks to anchor them. On beach sand use rocks, driftwood, etc as anchors for the tent guylines. On wooden tent platforms, you can wedge the stakes between the boards, or use extra line to tie off to the ends of the platform. There are many ways to make it work if you use your imagination.

Titanium Stakes

We love these titanium stakes. They’re strong and very lightweight. We always carry extra to share with fellow backpackers. The only downsize is because they’re so small they’re easy to lose in pine needles. So I always make sure to count them. I highly recommend this product.

Light but bend easily

These stakes are very lightweight but bend very easily in harder ground. I would recommend packing some more robust stakes along with these.

Great super light tent stakes

These have become my go-to stakes for backpacking. So light it’s almost like carrying nothing. I’ve recommended them to a lot of friends. They give you all the hold you need in, I’d say, 90 percent of environments. The only time I didn’t use them was on the Mountaineer’s Route of Mt. Whitney because the soil was so rocky; I instead brought the Zpacks 6” Sonic Stakes, which are only a little heavier, and they worked great for that climb. But generally speaking, the 6” Ultralight Titanium Tent Stakes are the only ones I use. Most recently, I used these during an overnight in Indiana and they held even through a torrential thunderstorm with high winds.

Amazing

Great! Super easy to use and super light. Brought on many backpacking trips and don’t have any complaints.

Good sometimes.

Light and right….in some soils. Would love to see even brighter dip coating on top. And a flattened top ridge for commonly needed rock persuasion.
