  • Four small teeth on the leading edge of the trowel make it easy to cut your cathole and scoop out the dirt while breaking through any small roots that might be in the way.
  • The handle has small indentations to improve grip and can also be used to break down harder surfaces before digging by flipping trowel upside down.
  • Use the small opening to attach to your backpack or keychain.

Lightweight tough digger

Trowel works well. It is nearly impossible to dig the recommended 6” cat hole in the rainy root-bound soil of the PNW, but this trowel greatly improves the odds. Cuts through small roots and levers small rocks.

Pooptastic

Well what can i say! It’s a quality product for a stealthy job. Definitely made my early morning calls of nature whilst stealth camping on the South West Coast path in the UK a lot quicker, dug a perfect 9inch deep hole with ease and precision enabling me as usual to leave no trace in record time and not get caught out by the early morning dog walkers. It’s strong and durable for the tough rocky soil of the Cornish Coast line and was a compact addition to my **** kit. Found the handle section the perfect length for good leverage without making my hands uncomfortable and the spade end a good shape for making quick volume cuts into the soil. Also big enough for speedy backfilling but not to big to become a problem to store in the hip belt on my pack. Also doubled as a peg pushing aid in stubborn ground instead of damaging my palms, just placed the curve of the trowel in my palm and hey presto pushed that peg home without fear of puncturing my skin.

Nice and light. Beware sharp finishes

Seems decent. The trowel came finished with a very sharp edge. Granted it was located by all the sharper cutouts, however this protrusion has the ability to snag items in your gear and cause havoc. I will file mine down before heading out for my business.
