Measuring:
Measure your chest using a string or cloth tape measure and go by the "Fits up to" size. The "Fits up to" size includes a few inches of wiggle room for layering. The jackets are straight cut (like Men's jackets) and do not flare out at the hips.
They are fine for women, but make sure your hips will fit the bottom hem girth, or size up.

Goose Down Jacket
The jacket is very light weight, and will keep you warm on those late Fall and Winter hikes.

Amazingly light and comfortable….but
Let’s start with the basics, the pros! Jacket weight is spot on what Zpacks advertises its weight for a large. The fit while boxy, it fits well on a thicker guy like myself even when lean. I really appreciate the adjustments for the waist, that is something you just don’t find on a jacket of this weight. Period. The hood isn’t overly tight, and the adjustments are very useful, especially when windy. The pockets are especially useful when you just want to warm your hands and quickly grab things like chapstick. While they are open they do not tend to let things out or drop to the ground should you use common sense. The inner pocket used for valuables is perfect, it doubles as a way to stuff the jacket in while not having to carry a stuff sack, and could be used as a pillow. The zipper is smooth and doesn’t snag easily. The cons which aren’t many, but should be considered as one of them could be an issue in very cold weather-5C. Which is the main reason why I’d rate the jacket as a 4.5/5 stars. The non-existent draft collar behind the main zipper, while the zipper is very tight and blocks most wind isn’t impenetrable. I feel that Zpacks could have added one for maybe an OZ penalty. Given that this is an “Ultra-light” jacket used for backpacking I feel that as a backpacking company Zpacks should have thought about this when designing a jacket that isn’t cheap. However when you go ultralight you do make compromises, this may just be one with this particular jacket. The elastic wristbands while functional, I find them not to be able to provide a tight enough fitting to maximize the retaining of heat. Easy fix would be much like Zpacks Rain Jacket to add adjustability. That’s it for the cons. Overall an amazing jacket that is reasonably durable and comfortable, I would definitely recommend this jacket. It provides just about every feature you’d need and want out in the backcountry. Awesome work Zpacks, keep up the great work. Please consider adding a draft collar, and adjustable wristband.

Amazing Jacket
The jacket was amazing and it was perfect for traveling. The only issue was that it was too big. They let me return it with no hassle. I can’t wait until my size is available.

Sized for small men only
Would have loved to love this jacket, but sadly had to return. Very lightweight, cozy, good color, but runs terribly small. The sizing is clearly for small, skinny men with no hips. I would have to order a large to make it fit my hips (I'm 5'4", 140 lb female), and then the rest of the jacket would be huge. Please make a women's friendly version!

Brushtail Possum Beanie
This is without doubt the warmest beanie l have ever had on my head in still air. Kept me toasty in sub zero. I’ve recommended it and Zpacks to several friends.

When winter arrives, cold nights at camp are no match for our ultralight Brushtail Possum Beanie. Made from a combination of New Zealand's brushtail possum fur, and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool, these beanies will keep your head warm around the campfire and those frigid days on trail.
For extra warmth pair these socks with our Brushtail Possum Socks and Brushtail Possum Gloves!
For a lighter weight 3 season option, check out our Fleece Hat.
Goose Hood
Couldn’t be happier with this down hood. Perfect for quilt users, doesn’t slide around or off your head at night like a beanie can on straight, slick hair. Much better than the hood on a sleeping bag, which can slide into your face when you turn, and of course can’t be detached for use as a separate warm hood. The ultra light weight is remarkable. It’s very warm and has a cozy fit and feel.

Get ready for sweet dreams on cold nights when bundled up with the Goose Hood. A perfect companion to your ultralight down quilt, stay cozy and snug tucked away from the cold. The Goose Hood can also be worn by itself when you need extra protection from the chill.
Goose Socks
I’m a cold sleeper and was looking for options to help keep my feet warm through out the night. In the past I’ve used wool socks which helped but didn’t quite keep the chill out. The first night I used the goose socks it was like heaven! They are so lightweight and add noticeable warmth! These will extend my hiking season well into the late fall, worth every penny!

Nothing beats the feeling of climbing into a warm sleeping bag after a long day of hiking. Get ready to share that feeling with your feet! Win the battle against cold feet at camp with these extra warm goose socks. Crafted to keep your toes tucked away from the chill they are great for sleeping, and sitting around camp. Do not hike in these socks. Treat them as you would your sleeping bag.
Color requests are not available, the Medium sizes socks come in Green and the Large in Blue. Both sizes include a matching Ventum stuff sack!
