Fantastic product and absolute freedom for the minimalist hiker. I added some Zpacks stick on hang loops on the inside for a mosquito net and it’s golden. Highly recommended.
Our ultralight Flat Tarps are a minimalist adventurer’s dream. This tarp has plenty of space for a single hiker and their gear. Whether you’re hiking to a remote destination or cross-country bikepacking over uneven terrain, this ultralight shelter will set up easily and keep you dry and protected. This tarp can put you well on your way to that elusive sub-7 lb base weight.
Set the tarp up as an A-Frame and enjoy the views and ventilation provided by both ends of the tarp. If the weather becomes harsh, the tarp can be set up in a variety of configurations for maximum protection.
A small DCF stuff sack, 50ft of 2.0mm Yellow Z-Line cord and 2 Mini-D Carabiners come standard with our flat tarps but are not included in the listed weight.

Constructed from Olive Drab .55 oz/sqyd Dyneema® Composite Fabric.
The ridge seam is taped and the tie outs have bonded reinforcements. No seam sealing necessary.
Any condensation, which single wall shelters may experience, will run down the walls and out at the edges of the tarp. Click here for tips to avoid condensation.
Dyneema Composite Fabric is naturally waterproof and is not treated with any potentially harmful chemicals such as flame retardants or water repellents.

It has high tensile strength and can handle strong winds, storms, and all the typical conditions a tent will be in. All Dyneema® Composite Fabric material can easily be repaired in the field with the included repair tape if it were to get a puncture. The material is semi-transparent, allowing you to see the silhouette of trees when looking out. In bright sunlight, you can see the fuzzy silhouette of a person when looking in, but it is opaque in low evening light. Exactly what I need for bikepacking
I’ve been drooling over this tarp for awhile and finally bought it and a bathtub groundsheet a few weeks ago for bikepacking. It’s better than I’d even thought it would be! Easy to set up in a multitude of configurations, light as a feather, and seems very tough. So glad I finally went ahead and got this tarp! Game changer. Combined with the bathtub ground sheet and a UL mosquito net, it’s my perfect shelter.
Flexibility to be able to camp at non-existent campsites.
I absolutely love this tarp. I bought it in February 2021 and it has become my primary shelter. I've modified it by adding mosquito netting around the perimeter. The mosquito net curtain provides protection from flying insects and also seems to reduce wind driven rain and splash-back from getting inside during severe storms. A key benefit of this tarp is flexibility. I sometimes find myself at the end of a day without a nice campsite. In these cases, if I can a place to lay down, I can generally figure out a way to rig the tarp. It is the perfect size for me and packs up really small, even with the netting modification. It is also ridiculously light.
My best piece of gear!
During a recent Yellowstone trip where it rained non-stop for over 72 hours, this tarp saved our butts! The temperature didn't get above 40F for 3 days, it poured rain, snowed, and hailed nonstop. We hid under the tarp each time we stopped, made camp, or just needed an escape from the never-ending downpour. Since the rivers were up, as we were going down the Bechler, we fell in the river multiple times and were completely soaked. Wouldn't you know it, the rain picked up right after our last dip, right before camp. We arrived in camp and immediately strung the tarp up and took shelter. Nothing beats this tarp, seriously! If you want an affordable place to shelter that weighs next to nothing, then look no further. This is the tarp you've been looking for!
