Arc Pro 50L Backpack
The Arc Pro is what happens when a proven long-distance backpack gets stripped down and rebuilt around durability, simplicity, and effortless access. Delivering a technical look and serious trail performance, the Arc Pro is built with rugged Ultra 100X and Ultra TenX fabric for the demands of long-distance hiking.
Venom Stretch Mesh center, side, and bottom pockets keep frequently used gear easily accessible, and a zippered 3D mesh sleeve gives you a convenient spot to quickly stow the included foam sit pad.
Underneath the streamlined exterior is our proven curved carbon fiber Arc Frame and adjustable torso height system, designed to keep weight off your back while delivering the ventilation, adjustability, and carrying comfort long-distance hikers depend on. With interchangeable shoulder straps and belts, plus tons of modular add-ons, the Arc Pro is tough where it needs to be, simple where it should be, and cleaner-looking from every angle. - Made from 3.3 oz/sqyd Ultra 100X fabric on the back and bottom for durability, with 2.9 oz/sqyd Ultra TenX fabric for a splash of color and weight savings on the front. Ultra fabrics features a woven Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) face fabric laminated to a .75 mil waterproof backing. Ultra fabric boasts extremely high abrasion and tear resistance and is the strongest fabric we offer.
- Ultra fabric is waterproof, PFAS Free, and is not coated with DWR or other chemicals.
- 4.75 oz/sqyd Venom Stretch Mesh is made UHMWPE fiber for rugged durability against abrasion. The center pocket, side pockets, and bottom pocket are all stretchy to swallow your gear.
- All seams and attachment points are taped making the pack highly water resistant. We recommend adding dry bags or a pack liner for additional protection for important items like your clothing and sleeping bag.
- Our curved carbon fiber Arc Frame keeps the pack rigid and transfers most of the weight to your belt. Loosen the shoulder straps a little bit and the curved frame adds an airflow gap between the pack and your back to keep you cool.
- The 50L volume is enough space for 4-5 day carries on a thru-hike with ultralight gear. A top strap allow you to lash on extra items for longer carries.
- A roll top closure allows you to compress the top of your pack as your gear load shrinks. Side compression cords can further shrink the volume and are also useful for carrying trekking poles or an umbrella in the side pockets.
- Multiple styles of interchangeable shoulder straps are available to choose from. Our straps feature comfy 3/8" (1 cm) closed cell foam padding with 3D Mesh on the bottom for air flow and cushioning. A daisy chain lets you clip on accessories, and a sternum strap can be moved up or down for a perfect fit. Load lifter straps help keep the pack secure and snug.
- An interchangeable padded belt allows you to find the perfect fit, and swap it out if you need to. The belt connects directly to the frame for superior load transfer. "V style" webbing allows you to cinch down the top and bottom edges of the belt to hug your curves more securely than belts with a single adjustment.
- Spacious Venom Stretch Mesh side pockets fit up to two 1L bottles each and have integrated elastic water bottle straps to keep your bottles from sliding out during travel. The pockets are positioned low on the pack and slanted forward for easy access, with drainage holes at the bottom, and elastic to keep them tight at the top.
- A large Venom Stretch Mesh center pocket can swallow a wet tent, or stow loose items and snacks for the day. Drain holes at the bottom corners allow water to escape in hard rain.
- The bottom pocket is a handy spot to tuck your rain jacket or fleece for quick access when on trail.
- A zippered sleeve against your back allows you to quickly remove the included sit pad for breaks. The sleeve features comfy 3D Mesh to keep your back from getting sweaty. The closed-cell foam sit pad measures 11" x 15.5" (28 cm x 39.4 cm) and adds an additional 1 ounce to the total weight of the pack.
- A drinking tube can be threaded out either corner of the roll top closure and secured with the daisy chain on the shoulder strap.
- All standard Bear Canisters will fit in the upper half of this pack standing on end. Use your sit pad and clothing as padding around the canister to fill out the space.
- The short and medium size frames meet most airline carry-on requirements and will fit into an airplane overhead bin with the top rolled down to the frame. The tall size frame may also fit depending on the plane.
- The shoulder straps can be adjusted up or down for a perfect fit using our patented torso adjustment mechanism. It works like a conveyor belt. This is great for sharing the pack between people, or for growing teenagers. If in doubt, most people fit our "medium" adjustment range.
