- Our 2.35 oz/sqyd Octa® fleece offers exceptional warmth at an incredibly light weight, making it an advanced alternative to traditional fleece. It excels as an active insulation and performs well in a range of temperatures from the 30F's (0 C) to the upper 60F's (20C) while moving.
- Octa® filament has an octopus-like cross-section with 8 projections, which create air gaps that enhance heat shielding and insulation properties. That unique fiber structure makes Octa® fabrics roughly 50% lighter than regular polyester materials of similar thickness.
- The interior of the Octa® features a fluffy next-to-skin, brushed surface that traps air to keep you comfy and warm.
- Add a Zpacks Wind Shell Jacket to block the breeze and push your layering system into even colder temperatures.
- Pairs nicely with our Octa Fleece Pants and Octa Fleece Hat as a sleep layer.
- The mesh exterior is extremely abrasion resistant, providing better durability than other ultralight fleece options. It also doesn't collect crud like other fleece that is fuzzy on the outside.
- Half length zipper allows you to regulate your body's temperature and slip the hoody on and off as the weather changes.
- Spacious kangaroo pocket keeps your hands warm or store items that you'd like to reach quickly like gloves. The pocket is positioned to allow easy access while wearing a backpack belt.
- Fitted hood warms up your ears on chilly mornings.
- Integrated thumb holes prevent your sleeves from riding up, keep your hands a little warmer, and provide sun protection for the top of your hands.
- The sleeves provide excellent range of motion while eliminating a top shoulder seam that could rub against your backpack straps.
- Elastic at the hem and at the wrists helps trap heat and prevents the hoody from riding up.
- A gentle dove tail shape on the rear of the hoody helps provide coverage when riding a bike or reaching above your head.
- Sizes are US Men's, however the athletic fit and stretchy material work well for women's figures as well.
- The material is stretchy, allowing it to comfortably conform to your body's movements.
