Z-Line UHMWPE / Polyester Cord (50 Feet)
Lowered the weight to my tents, and provided a stronger system overall.
On rainy nights when the winds are gusting, feel safe inside your dry shelter knowing your guylines are strong enough to withstand anything. Z-line tent guy-line cord is composed of a white "Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene" (UHMWPE) core with a braided polyester sheath, comparable to Dyneema®.
UHMWPE fiber is extremely strong and lightweight and does not stretch. The Polyester sheath adds grip, stiffness, abrasion resistance, and color, perfect for tent guy-lines and backpack accessory cord.
Our neon Yellow color is extremely bright and can be seen day or night to prevent tripping. It is more visible than typical reflective cord, especially during the day. All sizes have a breaking strength over 200 lbs, overkill for tent and tarp guy-lines
- 1.3 mm is the minimum size that will work reliably in our Lineloc V Guy Line Adjusters. It is an excellent choice for stuff sack draw cords, stake cords, and ultralight fixed length guy-lines. Two passes will fit in our Tiny Cord Locks.
- 1.6 mm is the "Goldilocks" size which fits our Lineloc V Guy Line Adjusters, holds tight in high wind, and is less fidgety or tangly than 1.3 mm. This size cord is standard on all Zpacks tents and tarps as of 2026. Two passes will fit in Mini Cord Locks.
- 2.0 mm has even better holding strength in Lineloc V's, and will also work with common "Lineloc 3" guy line adjusters found on competitor's tents. This diameter works well for lashing items on the sides and base of our backpacks. Two passes will fit in Mini Cord Locks.
