I love my new pack
This was a good find. I am very particular about protecting my gear and this protects both the umbrella and anything the umbrella is touching. I wish the end was tapered, though. Too much material is left sticking out at the end. Multiple color options would have been nice as well. Soviet gray gets boring after awhile.

Really Good Stuff
It’s not field tested, so this review is based on appearances and how it feels. It’s amazingly light. Much lighter than my present hiking umbrella which I though was light. How this umbrella will do with gusts remains to be seen. But, I’m not terribly concerned. I’ve spent in the low 4-digits with this company, and they just don’t release s#%^...and, I trust they’ll stay that way. Their joy imagine is doing a great job...getting paid for is just extra. Only those who live like this will understand what has been said here. It’s a bit long which isn’t a criticism. There are trade-offs for having a wide enough umbrella that covers your shoulders...I’m 6’ 3” and not lanky. My present umbrella doesn’t do this. Umbrellas are not bat’s wings...yet. But, the low weight will blow your mind! I want to stick the umbrella in my pocket...it’s that light. A strap-on to your thigh or lower back (horizontally) should be explored. I’m thinking of my diving knife that’s on my calf ...something like this for the thigh.
