Conductive Brushtail Possum Gloves
Excellent! I have the worst circulation and have tried literally every glove and mitten on the market. My hands and fingertips freeze within a few minutes of being in the cold wether it's mild or below zero. These gloves keep my fingertips warm! I do not have to wear anything else.

Winter weather can be harsh, but when the digits drop yours don’t have to feel the chill. Made from a combination of New Zealand's brushtail possum fur, and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool, these Brushtail Possum gloves provide plenty of warmth when you need it most.
Featuring conductive ends on both the index finger and thumb, these gloves will allow you to use your smartphone and other touch screen devices without having to remove them.
These gloves are a great companion to the Brushtail Possum Socks, and can be used as a liner under our Vertice Rain Mitts
*Gloves are non-returnable if they have been removed from the packaging.
Our Brushtail Possum gloves are produced by combining the fur of New Zealand's brushtail possum and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool.
The hair of brushtail possum is hollow, just like Polar Bear hair, which provides incredible warmth and water resistant. While typical wool gloves may stay warm when wet, they take forever to dry. If you put these gloves in water, the water shakes right out and they dry quickly.
New Zealand's possums are unrelated to the opossums found in the United States. They are super cute, but they are also an invasive species that destroy the native plant and bird life.
28.43% Brushtail Possum Fiber
52.12% Merino Wool
15.71% Nylon
2.12% Acrylic
1.25% Elastic
0.37% Steel
Made in New Zealand.
These gloves are stretchy, but they run a bit small. They may shrink a bit if they are dried in a dryer. It is better to size up if on the line.

Washing
This item can be hand washed with warm water and soap or in a traditional washing machine.
Drying
The gloves should be line dried. Putting the gloves in a dryer may cause them to shrink a bit, but they do stretch back out.

Sizing chart is a FAILURE
According to the sizing chart I require a size: XL, as my hand length is 8.5 inches. The XL is HUGE! I know now I should have ordered the Large instead. "Runs small" is "misinformation" and now I have a poor fitting glove as a result. What a waist of time and effort.

Warm gloves!
These gloves kept my hands warm in the low 40s, which amazed me as my hands are very sensitive to cold. I discovered that they are a bit delicate, though, and using them for a few hours with poles rubbed a hole in them. So either don’t use poles with them or wear them under gloves that can handle the friction of hiking poles. I bought a new pair and will baby them a bit more. It’s worth it because for the weight they are very warm.

Great, but wash before first use!
These are easily the warmest knit gloves I've ever used. Remember to wash them before your first use as there are plenty of loose fibers. I failed to do this. I put them on before heading down a steep descent on the Hadrian's Wall trail in England. Between wearing plenty of lip balm and having a slightly runny nose, I kept rubbing my face. By the time I got to the bottom and could safely deal with it, I looked like I had a Brushtail Possum goatee! :-)

Warm but not durable
As everyone says they are warm when dry. My problem is that they are not durable and the fingers wore out after an only a few days. Not a working glove in anyway. They would be excellent as an inner glove.

Great gloves, airy & warm on the hands.

Brushtail Possum Gloves Add-Ons
Zpacks Down Booties
I’m a cold sleeper and was looking for options to help keep my feet warm through out the night. In the past I’ve used wool socks which helped but didn’t quite keep the chill out. The first night I used the goose socks it was like heaven! They are so lightweight and add noticeable warmth! These will extend my hiking season well into the late fall, worth every penny!
– Kimberly N., ★★★★★

Zpacks Ventum Wind Shell
Amazingly light but cuts the wind and holds the heat in with a layer underneath!
– Joe B., ★★★★★
Choosing the right layer for crisp spring mornings and chilly fall nights can be a challenge. Our Ventum Wind Shell is crafted to cut the breeze and trap warmth in your base layer or against your skin.
Ventum fabric strikes the right balance between cutting cold wind while still allowing enough breathability for sweat to escape when hiking on chilly mornings and evenings.
It’s perfect for when a base layer alone is not enough, but insulation would make you overheat. Weighing under 2 ounces this is a must-have item for when you plan to hike in cool weather.
This windshell is unisex sizing. We do also have some women's sizes in our Bargain Bin while supplies last.

Brushtail Possum Socks

– Amy W., ★★★★★
When the campfire just isn’t enough to keep you warm and your feet need a little extra help heating up, Brushtail Possum Socks are an ultralight must have. Made from a combination of New Zealand's brushtail possum fur, and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool, these socks are sure to keep your toes nice and toasty.

Fleece Hat
A few weeks earlier, I would have just lived with a cold head. But not now! For almost no weight and a tiny amount of space in my pack, I put up a strong defense against hypothermia. Another great product!
– Jon B., ★★★★★

Zpacks Down Hood
Couldn’t be happier with this down hood. Perfect for quilt users, doesn’t slide around or off your head at night like a beanie can on straight, slick hair. Much better than the hood on a sleeping bag, which can slide into your face when you turn, and of course can’t be detached for use as a separate warm hood. The ultra light weight is remarkable. It’s very warm and has a cozy fit and feel.
– Rachel M., ★★★★★
Get ready for sweet dreams on cold nights when bundled up with the Zpacks Down Hood. A perfect companion to your ultralight down quilt, stay cozy and snug tucked away from the cold.
A down hood can move with your head as you turn side to side in your quilt, unlike an integrated mummy bag hood. You can also wear it around camp, or tuck it inside your camp pillow when you don't need it.
Zpacks Down Hoods are reversible, face whichever color you prefer outward.
