Brushtail Possum Socks
47 reviewsThese are absolutely the warmest socks. I take them backpacking to put on when I get into camp and they keep my feet toasty.

When the campfire just isn’t enough to keep you warm and your feet need a little extra help heating up, Brushtail Possum Socks are an ultralight must have. Made from a combination of New Zealand's brushtail possum fur, and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool, these socks are sure to keep your toes nice and toasty.
These socks are very thick and warm! They are rugged enough to hike in on cold days, and they also make excellent sleep socks. They are great for winter sports as well.
For extra warmth pair these socks with our Brushtail Possum Gloves!
*Socks are non-returnable if they have been removed from the packaging.
Brushtail Possum Socks are produced by combining the fur of New Zealand's brushtail possum and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool.
The hair of brushtail possum is hollow, just like Polar Bear hair, which provides incredible warmth and water resistant. While typical wool socks may stay warm when wet, they take forever to dry. If you get these socks wet, the water shakes right out and they dry quickly.
New Zealand's possums are unrelated to the opossums found in the United States. They are super cute, but they are also an invasive species that destroy the native plant and bird life.

Washing
Socks can be hand washed in a sink with warm water and soap or in a traditional washing machine.
Drying
The socks can be air dried, or tumble dried. They may shrink a little in a dryer, but they stretch back out without issue.

Warm,warm,warm
Socks purchased based on Possum down hat and gloves being so good. All three are super warm and will be essential parts of my kit. Not only are they warm but they breathe so well that sweat does not get trapped on skin. On my hat ive noticed during high exertion activities that sweat migrates from my skin to the outside of the fabric . Thats game changing in my view and no other fabric I know of does this. Get all three . You wont be disapointed. Teamgreen

Killer Socks
Used these three weeks as sleep socks and hiking socks paired with zero shoes Alpines in temps as cold as -3*F (night) and as warm as 52*F (day) they are warmer, drier and lighter than the excellent smartwool summit Socks; but less cushy. In boots where there is a little extra room that needs filling I will use the summit socks but all my lighter shoes with a more performance fit I will be using these socks exclusively from now on.

Best socks
These are hands down the best socks I've ever worn. Extremely warm, comfortable, soft. I love them!
