Brushtail Possum Socks
40 reviewsThese are absolutely the warmest socks. I take them backpacking to put on when I get into camp and they keep my feet toasty.

When the campfire just isn’t enough to keep you warm and your feet need a little extra help heating up, Brushtail Possum Socks are an ultralight must have. Made from a combination of New Zealand's brushtail possum fur, and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool, these socks are sure to keep your toes nice and toasty.
These socks are very thick and warm! They are rugged enough to hike in on cold days, and they also make excellent sleep socks. They are great for winter sports as well.
For extra warmth pair these socks with our Brushtail Possum Gloves!
*Socks are non-returnable if they have been removed from the packaging.
Brushtail Possum Socks are produced by combining the fur of New Zealand's brushtail possum and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool.
The hair of brushtail possum is hollow, just like Polar Bear hair, which provides incredible warmth and water resistant. While typical wool socks may stay warm when wet, they take forever to dry. If you get these socks wet, the water shakes right out and they dry quickly.
New Zealand's possums are unrelated to the opossums found in the United States. They are super cute, but they are also an invasive species that destroy the native plant and bird life.
29% Brushtail Possum Fiber

Made in New Zealand.

Washing
Socks can be hand washed in a sink with warm water and soap or in a traditional washing machine.
Drying
The socks can be air dried, or tumble dried. They may shrink a little in a dryer, but they stretch back out without issue.

Possum plushness
bought these for sleeping socks for 2 weeks of sleeping >10k' in Sierra. They worked great, sometimes too warm but will be a part of my winter kit now.

Amazingly warm
I bought the socks, binni, and gloves - all the possum fur and found them to be both warm and super soft without being itchy. Loved them

Possum Socks
The possum down socks are nice and heavy. I like to use them as sleep socks or wear them if the weather turns colder. I have been quite happy with them.

Great first impression. Warm.
I bought these socks to be my camp “shoes” with disposable shoe covers and cold weather sleeping socks. They might be to thick to wear in my boots but I’ll give it a try. They are very warm and quite comfortable. They seem quite durable. I got the Large size and they fit my fit very well, 8.5-9 men’s. So, if you can wear wool, I’d really recommend a pair.

I haven't used the socks yet but I gave a new pair that I happened to have to my daughter who lives in Seattle and can never find warm enough socks. Those socks rocked her world! She says by far they are the warmest and most comfortable socks she's ever tried. I ordered her several more pairs and got some for myself.
