Alpenblow Micro Pad Inflator
Meet the Alpenblow — the tiny trail luxury you didn’t know you needed. Weighing less than two nickels, this pocket-sized powerhouse plugs into your phone or power bank and quietly inflates your pad in just a few minutes. Save your lungs and avoid the dizzying chore of manually inflating your sleeping pad after a long day of hiking.
It sips less than 1% of your iPhone battery, or a quarter of a percent of a 10,000 mAh power bank. Multiple nozzles are included to fit popular pads.
- Powered by power banks and phones with a 5V output or greater with USB-C output. This inflator does not contain a battery! USB-C cord not included.
- Sips power. Inflating a regular-sized pad will consume less than one percent of a typical smartphone battery, or 0.25% of a NiteCore NB10000’s capacity.
- To power your Alpenblow with your phone, it must use the USB-C standard, which includes most Androids and iPhones 15's and newer.
- If you prefer your sleeping pad to be very firm you may need to add a couple manual breaths to top the pad off after using the inflator.
- Fill times vary by pad size, ranging from 2.4 minutes for short pads, up to 6+ minutes for larger pads. See the specs tab for common pad times.
- This device is intended for small backcountry sleeping pads and is not powerful enough to inflate kayaks, rafts, or oversized mattresses.

Q: Can you deflate your sleeping pad with the Alpenblow?
A: No, unfortunately the dual inlet ports & 1-way turbine prevent a deflation mode.
Q: Could you stoke a fire or cool yourself off with the Alpenblow?
A: Not really, no. The flow is non-laminar when it exits so it doesn’t travel very far.
Q: My sleeping pad is taking longer to inflate than expected- what’s going on??
A: Uh oh! Please ensure the nozzle is fully seated to the Alpenblow and to your pad, and that your valve is configured to reduce blockage— setting to “deflate” often helps if an option. Altitude or a sleeping bag/quilt laying on top of your pad can also increase inflation times.
