Brushtail Possum Socks
When the campfire just isn’t enough to keep you warm and your feet need a little extra help heating up, Brushtail Possum Socks are an ultralight must have. Made from a combination of New Zealand's brushtail possum fur, and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool, these socks are sure to keep your toes nice and toasty.
These socks are very thick and warm! They are rugged enough to hike in on cold days, and they also make excellent sleep socks. They are great for winter sports as well.
For extra warmth pair these socks with our Brushtail Possum Gloves!
*Socks are non-returnable if they have been removed from the packaging.
Brushtail Possum Socks are produced by combining the fur of New Zealand's brushtail possum and New Zealand Merino lamb's wool.
The hair of brushtail possum is hollow, just like Polar Bear hair, which provides incredible warmth and water resistant. While typical wool gloves may stay warm when wet, they take forever to dry. If you get these socks wet, the water shakes right out and they dry quickly.
New Zealand's possums are unrelated to the opossums found in the United States. They are super cute, but they are also an invasive species that destroy the native plant and bird life.
Made in New Zealand.
Socks can be hand washed in a bathtub with warm water and soap or in a traditional washing machine.
The socks can be air dried, or tumble dried. They may shrink a little in a dryer, but they stretch back out without issue.

Nice warm comfortable socks, thicker than I want for hiking most of the time though. Great for around the house, still hunting or a sleeping sock.
Thick, comfy socks. Will keep your feet warm for sure
These socks are the BEST! I usually wear Smartwool socks for hiking and snowshoeing. I decided to give these a try because I like your gloves do much. I wore them snowshoeing for 5 days. They were incredibly soft, warm, cushioned, and comfortable. I told all my friends and will be buying more!
I loved these socks. After spending last summer on the Colorado Trail with cold feet, I decided to spring for these socks for my recent three day hike through Big Bend's Outer Mountain Loop. It got in the low thirties, and my feet stayed toasty all night long. They are a little too thick for my taste to hike in, unless you go up a half size in your shoes (maybe). They do make the perfect sleep socks.
I purchased these possum socks for my wife for a Christmas gift. When she opened them up at first the look on her face explained it all... a pair of socks?? Then she put them on and was so presently surprised on the warmth and feel of this sock. She absolutely loves them!!! Great Service and Product from Zpacks as well!!!
