They are fine for women, but make sure your hips will fit the bottom hem girth, or size up. A women's specific version is also available here.
Don’t have it yet but others I have are great
Nicely made, superlight, comfortable to wear. I'd kind of like a pocket, maybe with zipper, though that would add a tiny bit to the weight. It would nice to be able to adjust the elastic in the waist.
It is the second one because the first did become a hole. I use it very often in Iceland and I am very happy with it. Thank you a lot!
Just good quality products designed exactly what they were meant for.
While I have only had a Ventum shell for about 3 weeks, I have used other wind shells for several years and I have now hiked in the Ventum Shell about 20 times already in 20-50 degree weather with strong wind most of the trips and light precipitation at times for 3-8 miles at a trip. I have really enjoyed it so far. It does cut the wind pretty well - your skin will thank you for protecting it with this shell! My light down jacket does much better with this shell over it - it traps the heat and keeps the wind out of the stitching areas and yet breathes enough to keep me from sweating a lot. I am 5'8", 170lbs and the medium fits well. layers well, weighs 1.8 ounces on my scale and folds down to the size of a kiwi fruit! It hugs my wrists and hips comfortably snug which keeps the wind out and circulation flowing. It has a soft, somewhat stretchy feel to it that I find very comfortable. It zips up over your mouth which is nice. When it was colder with strong wind, the zipper got cold on my lips so I just pulled up my buff under it and that problem is solved...and another time, just unzipped it a tad for the same effect. If you have a rain jacket that wets out fairly quickly, I think this would likely go well under it as a way to keep you dry since it sheds misty rain pretty well. A wind shell like this will protect you from bugs and is good for sleeping in if you have a drafty tent. I plan to have this as a regular part of my hiking gear!
