When the rain begins to fall and the trail becomes a river, our Dyneema Composite Fabric Rain Kilt offers a unique solution that keeps you dry while providing ample ventilation in warm weather storms. A great option for ultralight waist to knee rain protection, the Dyneema Composite Fabric Rain Kilt works great when combined with our Vertice Rain Jacket or Groundsheet Poncho. Also available in a Waterproof Breathable Material version.

If you're not into a kilt but still into staying dry, Check out the rest of our Rain Gear.

  • The zipper will never blow open or leak, and you can unzip it as necessary to allow for a long stride.

  • The 38" waist kilt has a conical shape to allow a longer stride at the bottom while fitting a smaller waist. The 50" kilt is a rectangle shape. Both sizes have an elastic drawcord at the waist which can cinch the waist down to any smaller waist size.

  • When opened flat, the kilt can be used as a small ground cloth for breaks or for storing gear on wet ground. The kilt has reinforced tie out loops at the four corners, and at the center of the sides for other uses.

  • Packs up tiny. Just roll the kilt up and secure it with the waist elastic. No stuff sack necessary.

  • All Zpacks gear has a two year limited warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Please see our return / warranty policy.

  • Made in the USA.

Brilliant !!

These kilts are awesome ! I don’t want to have to carry rain pants. This keeps my lower body dry minus my feet, but they’re going to get wet regardless. Just throw in rain coat pocket and forget about it, it’ll be there when you need it. Great product/quality as always.

Great customer service and follow up

USPS lost my package - it got stalled out mid-usa for 10 days and Zpacks was able to resolve it and I got my package 2 days later - thanks Zpacks! Thanks Hillary and the team for your help! Note: I have never had a shipping issue with Zpacks and I have been buying stuff from them for two years. This was a fluke, but I thought I would give a shout out to the team who helped resolve it quickly.

Great Item

If you live in the Southeast or other humid climates, this is a great idea over rain pants. It is very light and multi-functional as well. . .I find I use it more as a ground sheet to lay on or lay things on than as a rain guard. You're gonna get wet or sweaty anyway down here if it rains usually, so might as well have a zipper and some ventilation if you try-an hold it off.

Works great

When a sudden downpour arrives, no time for rain pants, this kilt is the answer. Quick to don and far cooler than the rain pants that I used the day before when rain preceded my departure. I will be leaving my rain pants at home in favor of this kilt whenever in shorts.
