| ZPacks™ HexaNet Solo Bug Shelter |
|
Description:
The HexaNet is six sided pyramid shaped bug shelter which fits under
our Hexamid Solo Tarp essentially making
it a double wall shelter. The HexaNet has a Cuben Fiber bathtub
floor and ultralight .7 oz/sqyd mosquito netting.
-
Constructed with a 1.0 oz/sqyd Cuben fiber bathtub floor, with .7 oz/sqyd
ultralight insect netting.
-
Sets up with just one trekking pole, a
tent pole, or it can be hung from a
tree branch. The trekking pole should be around
48 inches. The handle of the pole
inserts into a cup at the peak of the shelter.
Six stakes are required (sold separately). Guy lines are included.
The corners of the HexaNet can be clipped to the corners of the
tarp rather than staking it separately, but you will get a tighter pitch if it is staked out
separately.
- Shown with a 6' 2" tall model inside. It has enough space to
lie down or sit up, but not much extra space for gear inside. Keep
gear outside the bug net, under the tarp.
- The 6" tall bathtub floor keeps you nice and dry, protected
from spray and ground water. There are no seams to seal.
- Compared to a Hexamid Tent with screen and a groundsheet the
weight and price of the HexaNet bug shelter and a Tarp are very
similar. The bug shelter has the advantage that it can be used by
itself under the stars, and it can be left at home when it isn't
bug season. On the down side it has alot less space to move around
compared to the tent.
- All ZPacks gear has a one year warranty against defects in
materials or workmanship. Returns or exchanges are welcome.
Dimensions (approximate):
- Peak Height: 45 inches (114 cm)
- Length: 7.5 feet (2.28 meters)
- Width at center: 32 inches (81 cm)
