| ZPacks Cuben Fiber Groundsheet |
Description:
This lightweight durable groundsheet is perfect under any tarp or in the Hexamid
tents.
- The ground sheets are constructed from black 1.0 oz/sqyd Cuben Fiber which is
lighter and stronger than
Tyvek or other similar ground sheet materials. The material is twice as
thick as the .51 oz/sqyd tent material and very waterproof and puncture resistant.
Cuben can be easily patched with duct tape or Cuben Tape in the
event of a puncture.
- The groundsheets are folded up around the edges creating a
bathtub to protect you from ground water and spray. The corners
are folded and sewn at the top so there are no seams to seal at
the corners. The solo and twin sizes do have a seam at the center
which is taped. No seam sealing necessary.
- The perimeter has rolled edges sewn all the way around just
like a tarp for extra strength.
- 6 tie out loops at the corners and sides allow you to stake or
clip the ground sheet in place if desired. You could also potentially
set the ground sheet up as a small tarp to sit out some
rain.
Elastic and clips are available below, to clip the groundsheet to
your shelter. They are already included with all Hexamid tents.
Size "Solo"
Sized to fit a single hiker and a small amount of
gear. A good fit for the Hexamid Solo tent.
24" wide at the ends, 32" wide at the center, 7 feet long,
with a 5" bathtub folded up all the way around. If the material were laid flat the
dimensions would be 34" x 42" x 94".
Size "Solo-Plus"
Spacious for a single hiker plus gear, or tight for two people. Fits
any of the three Hexamid tent sizes. Note that the Twin size
groundsheet will also fit in the Solo-Plus Hexamid and is a better
choice for two people.
28" wide at the ends, 42" wide at the center, 7 feet long,
with a 5" bathtub folded up all the way around. If the material were laid flat the
dimensions would be 38" x 52" x 94".

Size "Twin"
New Longer dimensions! Our Hexamid
Solo-Plus, Twin, and Long tents all have the same footprint
size. The difference between the three tents is the different pole
set ups, which give more space for couples, tall hikers, etc.
The front edge of this groundsheet is longer than the back, matching
the tent footprint as seen in the diagram.
The Twin groundsheet fully utilizes the floor space of all three
tents while leaving a buffer zone around the perimeter for rain
spray. It is comfortable for two hikers plus gear, and long enough for taller
hikers. It will fit two full length 20"
wide sleeping pads side by side. Two NeoAir pads are shown in the
photo.
38" wide at the ends, 50" wide at the center, 7.5 feet long,
with a 5" bathtub folded up all the way around. If the material were
laid flat the dimensions would be 48" x 60" x 100".
Other Notes:
If you prefer a flat ground sheet or want to make your own, Tyvek or
Cuben Material are available. We
can also do flat ground sheets with hemmed edges and loops on
request for other tents.
