| ZPacks Cuben Fiber Groundsheet |
Description:
This lightweight durable groundsheet is perfect under any tarp or in the Hexamid
tents.
- Constructed from sturdy 1.5 oz/sqyd Cuben Fiber which is
lighter and stronger than
Tyvek or other similar ground sheet materials. This is the
same material that our backpacks are made of; more than twice as
thick as the .6 oz/sqyd tent material. It is waterproof and
very puncture resistant.
- 3" of material is folded up around the sides creating a
bathtub to protect you from ground water and spray. The corners
are folded and sewn at the top so there are no seams to seal.
- The perimeter has rolled edges sewn all the way around just
like a tarp for extra strength.
- 6 tie out loops at the corners and sides allow you to stake or tie
the ground sheet in place if desired. You could also potentially
set the solo-plus ground sheet up as a small tarp to sit out some
rain.
Size "Solo"
Sized to fit a single hiker and a small amount of
gear. A good fit for the Hexamid Solo tent.
28" wide at the ends, 36" wide at the center, 7 feet long, with
3" folded up all the way around. (If the material were laid flat the
dimensions would be 36" x 42" x 7.5 feet).
Size "Solo-Plus"
Spacious for a single hiker plus gear, or
snug for two. This size might be a bit tight for two people but it
is as wide as I can go on the material width without seams. It is a good size for
the Hexamid Twin tent.
36" wide at the ends, 46" wide at the center, 7 feet long, with
3" folded up all the way around. (If the material were laid flat the
dimensions would be 42" x 52" x 7.5 feet).
Other Notes:
If you prefer a flat ground sheet or want to make your own, Tyvek or
Cuben Material are available.
New! I have Black 1.2 oz/sqyd Cuben
Fiber material on the way soon. The material would lower the weight
of the ground sheets by around .8 ounces without much performance
difference. Choose Black from the drop down.
